Dos Lagos Senior Session
This Dos Lagos Senior Session was one of the most honorable sessions I have ever had the privilege to photograph.
Many “last” moments make up a senior year. The last school dance, the last football game, the last year with friends you’ve been attending school with most of your life. For some this is the last year living at home with their parents. After this school year, life will never be the same. Once the tassel is move to the other side of the cap, a new chapter will begin.
This was the year where Senior Sessions would be more important than ever before. Many of their last moments didn’t get to happen. What’s worse is that graduation celebrations wouldn’t be what they had dreamed about. What better way to showcase this accomplishment than a Senior Session? After all, Senior Sessions are about commemorating one of the biggest milestones in life. It is a spotlight for that hardworking student to say, “I did it! Look at me! I’m an adult now!”.
My niece, Samantha was part of the pandemic Class of 2020. I lit up with excitement when she contacted me about booking her Senior Session! I was given a chance to bring some joy and happiness into this scary time in history.
I have watched Samantha grow up. She has grown into such an intelligent and beautiful young women with a hilarious sense of humor. During her session we had tons of fun and laughed a lot. When I was editing her images it hit me! I had to send her mom some sneak peaks and share the “she’s all grown up” moment with her. I feel so honored to have captured this milestone for her and her family to cherish forever.
Sam, you did it! And I couldn’t be more proud! Love you! 😘
